The Ink Withdrawn Story
Ink Withdrawn was founded in 2013 by Dr. James Winkelman and Martin Schmieg. Our founders are each passionate, deeply experienced innovators who were convinced that the “Tattoo Regret Industry” is incredibly opportune (due to the growth of the “Tattoo Art Industry”) and poorly served (due to the well-documented challenges presented by laser tattoo removal).
Together they have invented the Eraser™ System, which promises to transform the patient journey using an efficient, pain-free, and effective device. In addition to tattoo removal, our founders’ early research and clinical experience using our novel technology has led us to pursue other opportunities to improve patient standard of care in aesthetic dermatology

However, circumstances may change in a tattooed person’s life, and tattoo regret ensues. Then revising, replacing or removing the tattoo that has become an unwanted reminder of a now unpleasant association can and does become powerfully motivating. Some changes may be as modest as correcting a misspelling, often in a foreign language. Or perhaps the outline or color of an object or scene that is still desired to be retained needs to be altered.
Some tattoos must be removed to qualify for particular jobs or newly sought-after employment opportunities. Then there are relationships that no longer exist or reminders of former affiliations or expressions of political or anti-religious commitments that have become intolerable to the tattooed person as they have evolved. Tattoo Treatment has driven explosive growth in the tattoo removal industry. Early forms of tattoo removal, which to some extent are still used today by the economically disadvantaged and determined, include dermal abrasion. It employs abrasive materials or caustic chemicals to rub away or burn out tattoos from the skin. The tattoos are removed but replaced with great disfigurement of the skin.

of these, creams can vary, and complete tattoo removal is often not achieved.
Chemical Peel: Chemical peels involve applying an acid solution to the tattooed area, causing the top layers of skin to peel off gradually. This process can help fade the tattoo over time, but multiple sessions are usually required
